October 19th

Hello my friends. I was just reading my earlier blog posts in Estonian and I was pretty funny back then. I guess being so busy all the time has taken its toll...

Anyways, I have so much going on right now. I have school 3-4 days a week, I joined a global student organization called AIESEC and now started singing in a choir as well. That leaves almost no time for any social life, I mean I can barely keep up with my 20 (or so) shows!

School is great, we have a lot to do but I have found motivation to give it my all and I'm working hard! I was just talking to some of my friends who didn't have a gap year after high school and they are the opposite. I don't know if they haven't chosen the right program or I just value it more. Everyone who knows me saw me struggling last year and wanting to go to school so bad. I'm just glad I can be here right now and I can honestly say that so far I love my program.
I've already talked about the people, but I'm just so glad I can interact with people I would normally never have the chance to get to know. Oh but they do make fun of my Canadian accent, which I don't even think I have!

So more about AIESEC (I hope there isn't a copyright issue if I use it. I guess I'll find out). It's an organization which helps students go volunteer or intern all over the world. I'm part of the team that receives foreign interns in Estonia. We have to help them with all the paper work and legal aspects but also show them around and basically be their friends here. We have 2 more interns coming soon and I'm so excited to meet them! Right now I'm looking for an apartment for one of them and it's pretty challenging but I'm determined to find a nice one. Maybe nice is too much to say but decent at least.

There's not much to say about the choir yet because I joined 2 weeks ago but it feels great to be back in my element. I just feel so at home singing in a choir.

There have probably been a bunch of crazy adventures in the last month but since I don't remember all of them in detail, I'm just going to talk about the latest one.
Last night we celebrated my friend Margareth's birthday. She rented a limousine for us and that was a first for me! We had so much fun and since we were in a limo we had to scream out of the window. Even a bus honked at us!

Later on we went to a place called the Butterfly Lounge. We were just getting our first cocktails when some guys from the next table sent us a huge bottle of champagne. We looked at the menu later and let's just say that it cost almost as much as I made in a month. We were a little suspicious of them at first but when we talked to them they seemed really nice and polite. We were all so excited and flattered. Just when we thought we should get going, they sent us another one! It was just so surprising and Margareth was so happy as well so it was perfect. We had our own huge bill for some appetizers and cocktails but before we could start paying, the waiter came back and told us it had been taken care of. We were all in shock but it was such a nice gesture.
All in all, it was an amazing night and we made some memories we will never forget :)
