Some of the people from my program. We just won a lot of red bull.
I mean look at my face!

Will anyone believe me if I say that school has already been insanely busy? I mean it has been awesome, I love my classes and people in my program but today none of us wanted for the weekend to start just because we all know that we have to study the whole time...

I'm just going to talk about my classes very briefly.

Firstly, we have intercultural communication which basically compares different cultures and we learn how to build relationships with people from various countries. We talk about traditions, habits and other things that influence people. I find it very interesting how everyone is so different, yet people have many similar qualities in one region. What I can say about Estonians based on what I've learned so far is that we are calm, quiet, reliable and honest. But let's be real, I am maybe only two of those things. Maybe I'll find more similarities when we analyze Latin American countries...

Secondly, we have introduction to political science. I have to say that this is one of my favourite classes so far. I feel like I learn so much each time and it's so intriguing. I really look up to our lecturer as well because he used to work at the Canadian Embassy (talk about a dream job!).

We also have micro and macroeconomics. *Sigh* My first challenge that I need to overcome. I've never been great at any kind of economics but now I can see even more clearly how much I have to learn in that department. First test is this Tuesday!

But on a happier note, I also take French! Can you tell how excited I am about that? Je m'appelle Carmen. J'ai vingt ans. Je suis étudiante. Je parle estonien, anglais et espagnol. J'aime le Canada.
I'm pretty proud of myself, not going to lie.

Then we also have informatics where we learn to use the most popular computer programs like Word, Excel and Powerpoint more efficiently. I learned that in computer science in high school so it's not a huge challenge. So far.

Another one is expository writing which I've only had once so far. I don't have a great feeling about it but I mean I kind of need to know how to write essays and speeches so I'm trying to focus on how much it will benefit me in the long run.

For extra-curricular activities I was thinking of joining an international organization which helps students go abroad to either volunteer or get an internship in a company. I would love to help make that happen and in the process meet new people and gain experience. I had an interview today, hopefully it went well!
Of course I'm going to sing in a choir as well but I just haven't decided on which one yet. But I'll keep everyone updated.

Now enjoy Coldplay: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Lh3TokLzzmw
